Money Management Savings Tips
a wise tip I clipped from a newsletter...Debt-Reduction Tricks
Allocate as much money as you can to paying down your debt. You could raise some extra funds by holding a garage sale. Or, in these electronic times, you might sell your old lunch boxes, books, and CDs at sites such as Amazon.com or eBay.
My input on this.. What may be trash to one person may be a treasure to another. (Lynn Dralle thequeenofauctions.com titled her dvd set TRASH TO CASH). Browse around some online auction sites you may be amazed at what you have that you can turn into cash.Its not a get rich quick scheme, it will take time and effort but it CAN be done. There are MANY sellers on eBay with the power seller logo by their name, I hope to join their ranks. As I learn I will share with you all that I find for resources and tips.
eBay is the biggest online selling, there is also half.com which is now owned by eBay. I know people who are also making money by expanding to sell on Amazon.com, Overstock.com, Yahoo Auctions and many more sites.

I always
try to check the price per pound/ price per ounce etc..
it is common thought is
bulk is cheaper but by checking these prices I've discovered its not always
the case.
Use Coupons
~ those of us that coupon, a coupon
doesnt always mean savings, only use the coupon if its a brand you normally
use OR the product price minus the coupon is les than the brand you normally
use. Sometimes you can combine a store coupon with a manufacturure coupon for
extra savings, or even better at a store that doubles coupons (under 1.00)

Seek and send for rebates
this is something I am still working at trying to remember to bring my coupons with me to the store and to send in rebate forms before expiration dates.
Using a coupon box for rebate forms and coupons is a recommendation
REWARDS.. some stores offer rewards for frequent buying.. I normally get at least one check a year from best buy and staples (of course its only good at their store but still it helps next time I need ink or printer paper!!)I have listed some rewards clubs I have used. Upromise, the kennel shop, petco, Babymint, ClubMom, shopperdiscount and rewards, ebates, Visa Xtras, Staples rewards. Best Buy rewards, Famous footwear rewards, old navy, bull moose music, walkers warehouse, target red card rewards, chase/amazon rewards card
4) look into debt consolidation
5) check your credit report annually for errors
AnnualCreditReport you are eligible for one free report from each of the 3 reporting companies each year.
6)Try to avoid using credit!!
if you must have a credit card try to find one with the lowest percentage rate you can get. Also excellent if you also get rewards from it.
